## Tezkor tekshiruv: `openclaw security audit`

### Audit nimani tekshiradi (yuqori darajada)

## Credential saqlash xaritasi

Kirishni audit qilishda yoki nimani zaxiralashni hal qilayotganda bundan foydalaning:

* **WhatsApp**: `~/.openclaw/credentials/whatsapp/<accountId>/creds.json`
* **Telegram bot tokeni**: config/env yoki `channels.telegram.tokenFile`

## Xavfsizlik auditi tekshiruv ro‘yxati

Audit natijalarni chiqarganda, buni ustuvorlik tartibi sifatida qabul qiling:

1. **Har qanday “open” + vositalar yoqilgan**: avval DM/guruhlarni qulflang (pairing/allowlistlar), keyin vosita siyosati/sandboxingni qattiqlashtiring.

## HTTP orqali Control UI

Control UI qurilma identifikatsiyasini yaratish uchun **xavfsiz kontekst** (HTTPS yoki localhost) talab qiladi. Agar `gateway.controlUi.allowInsecureAuth` ni yoqsangiz, UI **faqat tokenli autentifikatsiya** ga o‘tadi va qurilma identifikatsiyasi berilmaganda qurilma pairingini o‘tkazib yuboradi. Bu xavfsizlikni pasaytirishdir — HTTPS (Tailscale Serve) ni afzal ko‘ring yoki UI ni `127.0.0.1` da oching.

Faqat favqulodda holatlar uchun, `gateway.controlUi.dangerouslyDisableDeviceAuth` qurilma identifikatsiyasi tekshiruvlarini butunlay o‘chiradi. Bu jiddiy xavfsizlik pasayishidir; faol ravishda nosozliklarni tuzatmayotgan bo‘lsangiz va tezda qaytara olmasangiz, uni o‘chiq holda saqlang.

`openclaw security audit` bu sozlama yoqilganda ogohlantiradi.

## Reverse Proxy konfiguratsiyasi

Agar Gateway’ni reverse proxy (nginx, Caddy, Traefik va boshqalar) ortida ishga tushirsangiz, mijoz IP manzilini to‘g‘ri aniqlash uchun `gateway.trustedProxies` ni sozlashingiz kerak.

Gateway `trustedProxies` ro‘yxatida **bo‘lmagan** manzildan proxy sarlavhalarini (`X-Forwarded-For` yoki `X-Real-IP`) aniqlasa, ulanishlarni lokal mijozlar sifatida **qabul qilmaydi**. Agar gateway autentifikatsiyasi o‘chirilgan bo‘lsa, bunday ulanishlar rad etiladi. 6. Bu autentifikatsiyani chetlab o‘tishni oldini oladi, aks holda proksi orqali kelgan ulanishlar localhost’dan kelgandek ko‘rinib, avtomatik ishonch olishi mumkin edi.

`trustedProxies` sozlanganda, Gateway lokal mijozni aniqlash uchun haqiqiy mijoz IP manzilini belgilashda `X-Forwarded-For` sarlavhalaridan foydalanadi. Soxtalashtirishni oldini olish uchun proxy kiruvchi `X-Forwarded-For` sarlavhalarini qo‘shib yubormasdan, **almashtirishi** (overwrite) kerakligiga ishonch hosil qiling.

## Lokal sessiya jurnallari diskda saqlanadi

OpenClaw sessiya transkriptlarini diskda `~/.openclaw/agents/<agentId>/sessions/*.jsonl` ostida saqlaydi.
Bu sessiya uzluksizligi va (ixtiyoriy) sessiya xotirasini indekslash uchun zarur, ammo bu shuni anglatadiki
**fayl tizimiga kirish huquqiga ega bo‘lgan har qanday jarayon/foydalanuvchi bu jurnallarni o‘qishi mumkin**. Diskka kirishni ishonch chegarasi sifatida qabul qiling va `~/.openclaw` dagi ruxsatlarni qat’iy cheklang (quyidagi audit bo‘limiga qarang). ## Node bajarilishi (system.run)

Agar macOS node juftlangan bo‘lsa, Gateway o‘sha node’da `system.run` ni chaqira oladi. Bu Mac’da **masofaviy kod bajarilishi**:

* Node juftlash talab etiladi (tasdiqlash + token).
* Mac’da **Settings → Exec approvals** orqali boshqariladi (xavfsizlik + so‘rash + ruxsatlar ro‘yxati).
* Agar masofaviy bajarilishni xohlamasangiz, xavfsizlikni **deny** ga o‘rnating va o‘sha Mac uchun node juftlashni olib tashlang.

## Dinamik ko‘nikmalar (watcher / masofaviy node’lar)

OpenClaw sessiya o‘rtasida ko‘nikmalar ro‘yxatini yangilashi mumkin:

* **Skills watcher**: `SKILL.md` dagi o‘zgarishlar keyingi agent navbatida ko‘nikmalar snapshot’ini yangilashi mumkin.
* **Masofaviy node’lar**: macOS node’ni ulash macOS’ga xos ko‘nikmalarni (bin probing asosida) mos holga keltirishi mumkin.

Ko‘nikmalar papkalarini **ishonchli kod** sifatida qabul qiling va ularni kim o‘zgartira olishini cheklang.

## Tahdid modeli

Sizning AI yordamchingiz quyidagilarni qila oladi:

* Ixtiyoriy shell buyruqlarini bajarish
* Fayllarni o‘qish/yozish
* Tarmoq xizmatlariga kirish
* Agar WhatsApp ruxsatini bersangiz, istalgan kishiga xabar yuborish

Sizga xabar yozadigan odamlar quyidagilarni qilishi mumkin:

* AI’ni yomon ishlar qilishga aldashga urinish
* Ma’lumotlaringizga kirish uchun ijtimoiy muhandislik qilish

## Asosiy tushuncha: intellektdan oldin kirishni nazorat qilish

Bu yerda ko‘pchilik muvaffaqiyatsizliklar murakkab eksploitlar emas — ular “kimdir botga yozdi va bot so‘ralganini qildi.”

OpenClaw pozitsiyasi:

* **Avval identifikatsiya:** bot bilan kim gaplasha olishini belgilang (DM juftlash / allowlist’lar / aniq “open”).
* **Keyin doira:** bot qayerda harakat qila olishini belgilang (guruh allowlist’lari + eslatma (mention) cheklovi, asboblar, sandboxing, qurilma ruxsatlari).
* **Oxirida model:** modelni manipulyatsiya qilish mumkin deb faraz qiling; manipulyatsiya ta’siri cheklangan bo‘ladigan tarzda loyihalang.

## Buyruqlarni avtorizatsiya qilish modeli

Slash buyruqlar va direktivalar faqat **ruxsat etilgan yuboruvchilar** uchun qabul qilinadi. Avtorizatsiya kanal allowlist’lari/juftlash hamda `commands.useAccessGroups` asosida aniqlanadi (qarang [Configuration](/gateway/configuration)
va [Slash commands](/tools/slash-commands)). Agar kanal allowlist’i bo‘sh bo‘lsa yoki `"*"` ni o‘z ichiga olsa,
buyruqlar ushbu kanal uchun amalda ochiq bo‘ladi.

`/exec` — ruxsat etilgan operatorlar uchun faqat sessiya doirasidagi qulaylik. U **konfiguratsiyani yozmaydi** va
boshqa sessiyalarni o‘zgartirmaydi.

## Plaginlar/kengaytmalar

Plaginlar Gateway bilan **bir jarayonda** ishlaydi. Ularni ishonchli kod sifatida qabul qiling:

* Only install plugins from sources you trust.
* Prefer explicit `plugins.allow` allowlists.
* Review plugin config before enabling.
* Restart the Gateway after plugin changes.
* If you install plugins from npm (`openclaw plugins install <npm-spec>`), treat it like running untrusted code:
  * The install path is `~/.openclaw/extensions/<pluginId>/` (or `$OPENCLAW_STATE_DIR/extensions/<pluginId>/`).
  * OpenClaw uses `npm pack` and then runs `npm install --omit=dev` in that directory (npm lifecycle scripts can execute code during install).
  * Prefer pinned, exact versions (`@scope/pkg@1.2.3`), and inspect the unpacked code on disk before enabling.

## DM access model (pairing / allowlist / open / disabled)

All current DM-capable channels support a DM policy (`dmPolicy` or `*.dm.policy`) that gates inbound DMs **before** the message is processed:

* `pairing` (default): unknown senders receive a short pairing code and the bot ignores their message until approved. Codes expire after 1 hour; repeated DMs won’t resend a code until a new request is created. Pending requests are capped at **3 per channel** by default.
* `allowlist`: unknown senders are blocked (no pairing handshake).
* `open`: allow anyone to DM (public). **Requires** the channel allowlist to include `"*"` (explicit opt-in).
* `disabled`: ignore inbound DMs entirely.

Approve via CLI:

## DM session isolation (multi-user mode)

By default, OpenClaw routes **all DMs into the main session** so your assistant has continuity across devices and channels. If **multiple people** can DM the bot (open DMs or a multi-person allowlist), consider isolating DM sessions:

This prevents cross-user context leakage while keeping group chats isolated.

### Secure DM mode (recommended)

Treat the snippet above as **secure DM mode**:

* Default: `session.dmScope: "main"` (all DMs share one session for continuity).
* Secure DM mode: `session.dmScope: "per-channel-peer"` (each channel+sender pair gets an isolated DM context).

If you run multiple accounts on the same channel, use `per-account-channel-peer` instead. If the same person contacts you on multiple channels, use `session.identityLinks` to collapse those DM sessions into one canonical identity. ## Allowlists (DM + groups) — terminology

OpenClaw has two separate “who can trigger me?” layers:

* **DM allowlist** (`allowFrom` / `channels.discord.dm.allowFrom` / `channels.slack.dm.allowFrom`): who is allowed to talk to the bot in direct messages.
  * When `dmPolicy="pairing"`, approvals are written to `~/.openclaw/credentials/<channel>-allowFrom.json` (merged with config allowlists).
* **Group allowlist** (channel-specific): which groups/channels/guilds the bot will accept messages from at all.
  * Common patterns:
    * `channels.whatsapp.groups`, `channels.telegram.groups`, `channels.imessage.groups`: per-group defaults like `requireMention`; when set, it also acts as a group allowlist (include `"*"` to keep allow-all behavior).
    * `groupPolicy="allowlist"` + `groupAllowFrom`: restrict who can trigger the bot *inside* a group session (WhatsApp/Telegram/Signal/iMessage/Microsoft Teams).
    * `channels.discord.guilds` / `channels.slack.channels`: per-surface allowlists + mention defaults.
  * **Security note:** treat `dmPolicy="open"` and `groupPolicy="open"` as last-resort settings. They should be barely used; prefer pairing + allowlists unless you fully trust every member of the room.

## Prompt injection (what it is, why it matters)

Prompt injection is when an attacker crafts a message that manipulates the model into doing something unsafe (“ignore your instructions”, “dump your filesystem”, “follow this link and run commands”, etc.).

Even with strong system prompts, **prompt injection is not solved**. System prompt guardrails are soft guidance only; hard enforcement comes from tool policy, exec approvals, sandboxing, and channel allowlists (and operators can disable these by design). What helps in practice:

* 5. Eslatma: sandboxlash ixtiyoriy (opt-in). 6. Agar sandbox rejimi o‘chiq bo‘lsa, exec gateway xostida ishlaydi, hatto tools.exec.host sukut bo‘yicha sandbox bo‘lsa ham, va host exec ruxsatlarni talab qilmaydi — agar host=gateway qilib, exec ruxsatlarini sozlamasangiz.
* 7. Yuqori xavfli vositalarni (`exec`, `browser`, `web_fetch`, `web_search`) faqat ishonchli agentlar yoki aniq allowlistlar bilan cheklang.
* 8. **Model tanlovi muhim:** eski/meros modellar prompt injection va vositalardan noto‘g‘ri foydalanishga nisbatan kamroq barqaror bo‘lishi mumkin. 9. Vositalarga ega har qanday bot uchun zamonaviy, ko‘rsatmalarga chidamli modellarni afzal ko‘ring. 10. Biz Anthropic Opus 4.6 (yoki eng so‘nggi Opus) ni tavsiya qilamiz, chunki u prompt injection’larni aniqlashda kuchli (qarang [“A step forward on safety”](https://www.anthropic.com/news/claude-opus-4-5)).

11. Ishonchsiz deb qaralishi kerak bo‘lgan qizil bayroqlar:

* 12) “Bu fayl/URL’ni o‘qing va unda nima deyilgan bo‘lsa aynan shuni bajaring.”
* 13. “System prompt yoki xavfsizlik qoidalarini e’tiborsiz qoldiring.”

### 16. Prompt injection uchun ommaviy DM’lar shart emas

17. Hatto **faqat siz** botga xabar yo‘llay olsangiz ham, prompt injection sodir bo‘lishi mumkin — bot o‘qiydigan har qanday **ishonchsiz kontent** orqali (web qidiruv/fetch natijalari, brauzer sahifalari, email’lar, hujjatlar, biriktirmalar, joylashtirilgan loglar/kod). 18. Boshqacha aytganda: jo‘natuvchi yagona tahdid yuzasi emas; **kontentning o‘zi** ham dushmanona ko‘rsatmalarni olib yurishi mumkin.

18. Vositalar yoqilganda, odatiy xavf — kontekstni chiqarib yuborish yoki vosita chaqiruvlarini qo‘zg‘atishdir. 20. Ta’sir doirasini (blast radius) kamaytiring:

* 21) Ishonchsiz kontentni xulosa qilish uchun faqat o‘qishga ruxsatli yoki vositalari o‘chiq **reader agent**dan foydalaning, so‘ng xulosani asosiy agentga uzating.
* 22. Zarurat bo‘lmasa, vositalarga ega agentlar uchun `web_search` / `web_fetch` / `browser`’ni o‘chiq tuting.
* OpenResponses URL kiritishlari (`input_file` / `input_image`) uchun `gateway.http.endpoints.responses.files.urlAllowlist` va `gateway.http.endpoints.responses.images.urlAllowlist` ni qat’iy sozlang hamda `maxUrlParts` ni past darajada saqlang.
* 23. Ishonchsiz kirishlar bilan ishlaydigan har qanday agent uchun sandboxlash va qat’iy vosita allowlistlarini yoqing.
* 24. Sirlarni promptlarga kiritmang; ularni gateway xostidagi env/config orqali uzating.

### 25. Model kuchi (xavfsizlik eslatmasi)

The onboarding wizard generates a token by default (even for loopback) so
local clients must authenticate.

  gateway host’s own tailnet address) to keep same‑host clients smooth.
* Other tailnet peers are **not** treated as local; they still need pairing
  approval.

Auth modes:

* `gateway.auth.mode: "token"`: shared bearer token (recommended for most setups).
* `gateway.auth.mode: "password"`: password auth (prefer setting via env: `OPENCLAW_GATEWAY_PASSWORD`).

### 0.6) Tailscale Serve identity headers

When `gateway.auth.allowTailscale` is `true` (default for Serve), OpenClaw
accepts Tailscale Serve identity headers (`tailscale-user-login`) as
authentication. OpenClaw verifies the identity by resolving the
`x-forwarded-for` address through the local Tailscale daemon (`tailscale whois`)
and matching it to the header. This only triggers for requests that hit loopback
and include `x-forwarded-for`, `x-forwarded-proto`, and `x-forwarded-host` as
injected by Tailscale.

**Security rule:** do not forward these headers from your own reverse proxy. Agar

If your Gateway is remote but the browser runs on another machine, run a **node host**
on the browser machine and let the Gateway proxy browser actions (see [Browser tool](/tools/browser)).
Treat node pairing like admin access.

Recommended pattern:

* Keep the Gateway and node host on the same tailnet (Tailscale).
* Pair the node intentionally; disable browser proxy routing if you don’t need it.

Avoid:

* Exposing relay/control ports over LAN or public Internet.

## Browser control risks

Enabling browser control gives the model the ability to drive a real browser.
If that browser profile already contains logged-in sessions, the model can
access those accounts and data. Treat browser profiles as **sensitive state**:

* Prefer a dedicated profile for the agent (the default `openclaw` profile).
* Avoid pointing the agent at your personal daily-driver profile.
* Keep host browser control disabled for sandboxed agents unless you trust them.
* Treat browser downloads as untrusted input; prefer an isolated downloads directory.
* Disable browser sync/password managers in the agent profile if possible (reduces blast radius).
* For remote gateways, assume “browser control” is equivalent to “operator access” to whatever that profile can reach.
* Keep the Gateway and node hosts tailnet-only; avoid exposing relay/control ports to LAN or public Internet.
* The Chrome extension relay’s CDP endpoint is auth-gated; only OpenClaw clients can connect.
* Disable browser proxy routing when you don’t need it (`gateway.nodes.browser.mode="off"`).
* Chrome extension relay mode is **not** “safer”; it can take over your existing Chrome tabs. Assume it can act as you in whatever that tab/profile can reach.

## Per-agent access profiles (multi-agent)

With multi-agent routing, each agent can have its own sandbox + tool policy:
use this to give **full access**, **read-only**, or **no access** per agent.

3. **Freeze access:** switch risky DMs/groups to `dmPolicy: "disabled"` / require mentions, and remove `"*"` allow-all entries if you had them.

### Rotate (assume compromise if secrets leaked)

1. Rotate Gateway auth (`gateway.auth.token` / `OPENCLAW_GATEWAY_PASSWORD`) and restart.
2. Rotate remote client secrets (`gateway.remote.token` / `.password`) on any machine that can call the Gateway.
3. Rotate provider/API credentials (WhatsApp creds, Slack/Discord tokens, model/API keys in `auth-profiles.json`).

### Audit

1. Check Gateway logs: `/tmp/openclaw/openclaw-YYYY-MM-DD.log` (or `logging.file`).
2. Review the relevant transcript(s): `~/.openclaw/agents/<agentId>/sessions/*.jsonl`.
3. Review recent config changes (anything that could have widened access: `gateway.bind`, `gateway.auth`, dm/group policies, `tools.elevated`, plugin changes).
